Doctrinal Statement
We believe the Bible to be the Word of God, divinely
inspired and without error, in whole and in part, as originally given by God to
the human authors. These Holy Scriptures are the only authoritative, infallible
guide for the Christian faith.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the essential deity and the real but sinless humanity of our Lord
Jesus Christ; in His birth without sin from the womb of the virgin Mary; in His
sinless life; in His miracles; in His every teaching; in His vicarious and
atoning death through His shed blood when crucified for the sake of all mankind;
in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father;
and in the promise of His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the
Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. This salvation is received only through
faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and not as a result of one's own works. One
becomes a Christian whose eternal life is assured when he or she trusts
completely upon the atoning death of Jesus Christ for salvation. No other human
work can be substituted for or even added to His sacrifice.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit Who glorifies Jesus Christ
and serves as the believers' Advocate. The Holy Spirit indwells the Christian at
the moment of his or her trust in Christ's substitutionary death and thus
enables the Christian to live a godly life and to perform good works unto the
glory of God Almighty.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - those that are
saved into the resurrection of eternal life and those that are lost into the
resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and in
the commands of our Lord to express the reality of this unity in our service in
His Name.
We believe that human life begins at conception. Every
person, being created in the image and likeness of God Himself, is an unique,
immeasurably precious person whose life deserves protection, care and respect.
The biblical teachings regarding the sanctity of human life require Christians
to actively resist the evils of abortion, infanticide, euthanasia and other
forms of violent injustice inflicted against the defenseless and innocent.
