In this month’s letter, I’ll be passing along a few items from our recent activities. But before I get to those, I wanted to give you a brief exposition of Exodus 21:22-25. It is a passage often used by liberals to “soften” the crime of abortion. However, the text proves the very opposite of what the pro-abortionists claim. I’ll look at that passage in some detail and then I’ll move on to those Vital Signs updates which will include some quotes of Billy Sunday and Fr. Flanagan taken from a collection I handed out last month to the audiences of senior citizens who heard me speak on “Piety on the Plains: A Church History of Omaha.” Let’s get to it.
"When Swing Was King: The Sights and Sounds of the Big Band Era” is a sentimental journey back to the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's, the heady days of youth for most of the residents of today’s retirement centers and nursing homes. It is a wholesome, fun program that brings comfort, awakens memories, and lifts spirits.
Vital Signs Ministries is inviting Christian pro-life advocates from around the country to participate in a prayer initiative against Planned Parenthood. It is a simple program but one which could have a powerful effect indeed as it stimulates not only more people to pray but to pray in more specific, more strategic and more unified ways.
